Bespoke Rings

The 'Clasp and hinge' design feature - especially for clients with arthritis or other problems that result in swollen or oversized knuckles.

Any bespoke ring design process usually begins with the client choosing gemstones from a selection assembled according to their budget and preferences. Gemstone quality is explained along with the merits of the different jewellery metals.

The design is then developed in collaboration between the client and the designer, roger elliott - who then makes the final ring.

The examples shown below illustrate the clasp mechanism on a multi-stone diamond ring. The ring opens fully to by-pass any knuckle size by means of a hinge and clasp opening. This design feature is available for clients with arthritis or other problems that result in swollen or oversized knuckles. The feature can be included in most of Roger's designs and may be designed to incorporate a client's own precious gemstones which have a sentimental value.

Gem and Materials Quality

Gemstones are all of fine quality. Diamonds supplied in grades from GVS to D Flawless - with certificates for all over a half carat. For smaller diamonds described as 'FVS1+' this indicates that these small stones are uncertificated but judged to be of F colour or better and VS1 clarity or better.

The 18ct White Gold used is of a higher quality than often found in jewellery today. Only palladium rich, high white material is used to ensure the whiteness is permanent.
